Our name is inspired by the goal to provide a sanctuary for a stable foundation for individuals to begin rebuilding their lives and wellbeing. We are all on a ladder in life. The Ladder House name is also inspired by the following quote from Rumi, a great Persian philosopher:

 “Be a lamp, or a lifeboat, or a ladder. Help someone’s soul heal. Walk out of your house like a shepherd.”

It’s our moral obligation to help lift those up that need it and also to be lifted up by our mentors and guides to help us realize our highest potential.
